Sports

Participate in sports with other campers your. Play a favorite sport or learn something new. Teamwork skills, communication skills, self-esteem all benefit from healthy competitive sports.


Paintball

Campers compete in an exercise of strategy, teamwork and leadership skills.

Canoeing

Campers head over to the local Boy Scout camp to enjoy an afternoon of canoeing, archery and swimming.

Flag Football

Healthy team competition enhances co-operation skills and promotes camaraderie.

Weightlifting

Campers are taught the proper use of weights and lifting techniques.

Swimming

Escape the summer heat at MMA's pool.

Field Meet

Each summer camp ends with our field meet, which is usually attended by the campers’ family members. This will be the first time for parents to see their sons in four weeks and marvel at the transformation. The field meet is a series of three competitive events between platoons: tug of war, Paul Revere and Dizzy Izzy. At the conclusion of the meet, parents have time to visit with their sons. The following day is the MMA Summer Camp Parade and Graduation.

Marine Military Academy is a college-preparatory boarding school for young men in grades 7-12 with an optional post-graduate year. Since 1965, MMA is the only private school in the world based on the traditions and values of the U.S. Marine Corps. Located in Harlingen, Texas, MMA has been home to thousands of sons from across the world and is quarters to the historic Iwo Jima Monument.
