{"id":10443,"date":"2013-05-27T08:00:23","date_gmt":"2013-05-27T13:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/?p=10443"},"modified":"2015-05-04T11:20:19","modified_gmt":"2015-05-04T16:20:19","slug":"lead-complex-work-nears-completion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/10443\/lead-complex-work-nears-completion\/","title":{"rendered":"LEAD Complex Work Nears Completion"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>LEAD Complex Getting Ready for\u00a0a Busy Summer<\/h1>\n<p><em>Maj Harold Compton<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/complex.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"summer camp\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-10448\" alt=\"lead complex\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/lead-complex-300x225.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/lead-complex-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/lead-complex.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/Military-Program\/LEAD-Complex\/\"><b>LEAD Complex<\/b><\/a> is a major factor in the annual <b>Summer Camp<\/b> at Marine Military Academy.\u00a0 Its nine major courses comprise the bulk of activities for our campers.\u00a0 These include our Leadership Reaction Course, Pugil Sticks Pit, Rope Bridging Event, Circuit Course, Obstacle Course, Rappel Tower, High and Low Ropes Course, Confidence Course and Combat Fitness Course.\u00a0 The size and complexity of the complex means that each year there are a large number of maintenance tasks that must be completed prior to opening for <i>summer camp<\/i>.\u00a0 Work on the <i>LEAD Complex<\/i> began shortly after Spring Break and has continued at a furious pace ever since.\u00a0 This year we had a local construction company donate over 4000 cubic yards of topsoil that we spread on several areas of the complex to help with drainage problems as well as to build up our Rope Bridging event.\u00a0 Grass seed has been spread and new grass\u00a0 is already poking its head up so we hope to have a good grass coverage in time\u00a0for summer.<\/p>\n<h2>LEAD Complex High Ropes Course Gets New Cabling<\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/cable.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"summer camp\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-10447\" alt=\"cable\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/cable-300x225.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/cable-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/www.summer-camp-mma.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/cable.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>During the last two weeks the High Ropes Course has had all belay cabling replaced with new cables.\u00a0 Maj.
