ESL and Summer Camp Diary: Day 5
Following ESL testing, ESL students had a fine ginger ale tasting. First they showed off the labels they had prepared for their liter bottles, then opened the fizzy substances (outdoors of course!), heading back in to pour their samplings onto ice and finally taste their bubbly concoctions. Editor’s Note: After being inducted as honorary sampler, I have to report these students concocted some tasty ale!!!
Out on the Mud Course, GOLF Company stirred up their own mixture of courage as they barreled through the mud soup, stirring quite frequently!
ALPHA Company steamed up the Weightlifting room with a whole lot of macho grunts, groans and triumphant “RIGHT ON’s” as they tested their mettle against the strength of the free weights.
ECHO Company stood toe-to-toe, eyeball-to-eyeball in the Boxing arena under the watchful eye of Boxing Coach SgtMaj Robertson…all out action and boxing at its best!
All in all, the first five days of camp have been HUGE growth spurts for all…shoulders are already a bit straighter and proud smiles have replaced unsure expressions since last Saturday. Next week will bring new challenges and new growth, so stay tuned and check “What’s New” often!
